I've been on three different teams. One was laid-back and cool. Another was fast-paced because we were building a product from the ground up, and it was well supported by the manager and team. Depending on the team you end up in, work could range from being great to terrible. They offer good learning and growing opportunities.
The last team I was on was micromanaged. We had to work overtime, and the management was not supportive of career growth or the welfare of the team members.
Make leadership training mandatory for all managers/leads.
I've worked with some managers who have really poor people skills. They just push the team to get things done rather than motivate and lead the team.
It started with two 45-minute technical rounds. The first one was a pair programming session, and the second one was a technical discussion on systems design. Afterwards, I was forwarded to a 30-minute behavioral round. After all that and a few follo
My interview consisted of about a 30-second phone call with a recruiter. We cut the call short because the job required two days in the office, whereas I work best in a full-time remote environment.
Long and slightly disorganized. Several changes in the follow-up interview scheduling occurred, which were usually at the last minute. The initial handoff from the headhunter was decent, but after that, it was not smooth.
