It is hard to rate JPMorgan Chase as a whole. The bank is broken down into several lines of businesses, which treat their people differently. If you are within the Investment Banking LOB, you will be treated fairly and paid appropriately. You might find a similar experience if you work in Technology (except for the helpdesk).
From the technology aspect, many jobs have been outsourced as a cost-saving measure. This is very prominent with support jobs. Either you will fear your job will be moved to India, or you will have to deal with a huge language/cultural barrier with the people "supporting" you.
From a support aspect, we hire anyone. I doubt they would be considered senior management, but the brain trust in my little division of technology feels they can hire anyone that can read. This means you will be working alongside people who are not qualified to wash your car, let alone compete with you. Sounds like a great way to gain a promotion until you realize your "team" is judged as a "team".
You need to have your LOB managers more involved in the day-to-day aspects of the "worker bees" duties. You make uninformed decisions without even consulting the people who have real experience.
From my POV, sending half of the tech jobs overseas might save money in payroll, but it destroys morale from the workers here in the US and kills the productivity of the people who MAKE the money used to pay all of our salaries. You'd know this if you had the decency to ask.
I got a call from HR with an employee referral, and the interview was scheduled for Sunday at 11 AM. I reported at 10:45 AM. I was waiting for my call. It was 11, 12, and finally 1 o'clock. I finally went to HR and asked what the problem was. He sai
Initial screening by phone, and then called onsite for a personal interview.
Long and slightly disorganized. Several changes in the follow-up interview scheduling occurred, which were usually at the last minute. The initial handoff from the headhunter was decent, but after that, it was not smooth.
