Got dinner and coffee with the recruiters.

When fall came around, did an interview on campus.

Received an offer, but for Jump Labs instead of Jump Trading, because I'm a sophomore.

Pros: Some smart colleagues. Good amount of time off.

Cons: The people who interviewed me and the recruiters involved did not accurately describe the culture or office setup. There is a lot of drama and politics. It's incredibly inefficient and lacks transparency. It doesn't feel like much of a business plan exists. There are loads of secret meetings. The tech stack is mostly old and bloated. It is all just so unimpressive from the inside.

Pros: Lots of offices, so travel to many places is a perk. Groups have good projects. People are friendly (mostly).

Cons: The Linux group can be difficult to work with. There is project overlap, and you might find that you have to compete with others. I think this is a fault of management in general, but to be fair to them, they have to struggle with the politics of the job.
