Worst interview I ever had. The phone interview was about some easy algorithms. Then I went to the onsite interview. All of the interviewers asked me my favorite language, and I said Java. It seems they don't use Java. Then I introduced myself, stating that I have done a lot of projects related to the backend side. All of them told me they are hiring front-end people. But I didn't know until the onsite interview. The first interviewer asked me a series of intellectual questions. The second interviewer asked about my resume projects. The third interviewer asked some system design (back-end stuff) questions (if you are hiring front-end, why is system design required?), plus coding questions. The last one was a manager. When he saw me, he just gave me a mean mug. He asked about my resume projects and asked me whether I had taken an OS class (if you are hiring front-end, why is OS required?). He also told me they were hiring front-end people. Plus, he asked me who gave me the phone interview. The whole interview made me confused and I could not articulate my feelings. After 3 weeks of waiting, they gave me a rejection.
