Pros

Good benefits. Flex hours.

Cons

Too many silo groups, with lots of infighting as a result. Politics tends to override the technology and common sense. As a result, it takes forever to accomplish anything.

They talk and talk, but there is no action. It could take months and a massive amount of paperwork to move a cable from one port to another in the offsite datacenter.

Advice to Management

Reassess the leadership structure. The current leadership is so used to creating red tape that they actually think it is normal. The politics is actually grinding execution to a standstill. Align the processes of the office of the CTO with the office of the CDO.
