Pros

If you are new to the networking world, the company has ample opportunities to learn and grow. The company pays well and has good HR policies. Unless you have been put under some screwed-up manager (there are quite a lot of them), the work-life balance is also good.

Cons

Irrespective of your work, if you are not in good books, you will be cornered.

There are people who get promoted every year and a half. In the largest business unit, you may feel like living in Saudi Arabia, where the king decides what is right and what is wrong.

Few big guys in executive management who were hired with big fanfare two years back have left the company. The CEO himself is retiring.

The data-center product is struggling for customers while the 4G mobile edge is closed. Various new platforms are looking for adoption from customers. The software development model is in the stone age.

Advice to Management

All you need is a visionary leader and trimming of management layers. Engineering is the strength, and it looks like management has overpowered it.
