I was reached out to by a hiring professional via Stack Overflow. I spoke with him, and after he followed up, he then disappeared. After weeks of silence, I reached out. He said, and I quote, "I dropped the ball on it." I found this unprofessional and vague, so that was the end of that.
Months later, this time I applied online and was soon reached out to by the same person. Step one was a screening test. I turned in my submission and reached out again to verify if he had received it and if there was any feedback. I am still waiting to hear back. I have formally withdrawn my application.

Hi Klaviyo, if your plan changes in the middle of a recruitment, try to be courteous to the people who found your product interesting, applied to those positions, and spent time working on the take-home assignment.
It appears to me that the hiring committee changes their minds in the middle of a recruitment, or something else is happening. Be courteous; you are sure to lose applicant traction if these practices do not change.
Until then, I would recommend staying away from the company.
