The process was very straightforward.
First, there was a 15-minute recruiter screen, which included "Tell me about yourself," "Why Klaviyo?" and details about the role and team.
Next, a 30-minute meeting with the hiring manager involved a deeper dive into my experience.
I did not make it through to the technical assessment, which would have involved presenting or walking through a demo.

Senior management is terrible -- would not recommend

Pros: Decent comp, and liquidity due to being a public company. Some cool people are still left.
Cons: Senior management is some of the worst I've ever seen. The executive suite is a revolving door, with a CEO who thinks he's the second coming of Elon Musk. There is a top-down directive to be extremely bullish on AI, among a variety of other trend-chasing moves. If you have a good manager, you might have good WLB; otherwise, you're probably screwed. There is a lack of code quality and a lot of incidents, so good luck if you're on call. I would recommend working elsewhere.

Great company and great culture

Pros: Everyone has been so welcoming, and everything has been really well documented, so I haven't felt lost at all yet.
The culture at Klaviyo is really amazing, and they make everyone feel like they belong.
The hiring process has also been one of the best in class. Peter Swan was my recruiter, and he made the whole process so smooth.
Cons: None that I can think of at this point.

A welcoming organization that actually focuses on improving the lives of people—both its customers and its employees.
Cons: Lack of alignment on company-wide goals across engineering teams results in frequent collisions of priorities.
