Good company, poor managers
Good company with clear core values. Great account teams in Europe and Asia. Challenging technology.
Poor team in the US. Very individualistic and everyone seems to be competing rather than focusing on teamwork. Engineers are encouraged to hide risk from management in order for the project to look great and low risk. Do not expect coaching if you report to managers who are based in the US. Some of them are very negative, instigating conflict, focusing on mistakes, mixing information, keeping information, and not planning for growth in the team.
Please train your managers. A good engineer doesn’t mean a good people manager. There are underwhelming, incompetent, and highly political managers in the US. Please don’t allow this to ruin such a great company.
