Process

David and the rest of the recruitment team were absolute angels. They kept me up to date every step of the way.

I felt informed and set up for each interview. The interview content, as a result, never felt like a surprise, like it can at some companies. I also was really impressed with the quality of communication I received along the way.

The reason I marked the process as difficult was the sheer number of interviews. Here's the breakdown:

  • Quick sync with recruiter for company / position fit
  • 30-45 min interview with hiring manager
  • 45-60 min technical interview with a peer
  • 4 more 45-60 min interviews with varying peers
  • A reference check (using a tool, needing to fill out a form and give 3 references; make sure to have that info handy!)
  • Another sync with recruiter on what a potential offer could look like, with a chance to negotiate here. I really appreciated this call and David made it feel really smooth.

I spent in total probably about 6.5-7 hours in interviews. This was over the course of a couple of weeks.

The offer came through within a few days after my final meeting with David. I was also informed by email, and we kept in contact on where to look for the offer letter as it arrived through a tool.
