TL;DR: The worst interview experience in the world.

I was contacted by the recruiter and then scheduled a phone interview with two engineers from LinkedIn's New York branch. I have interviewed with many other companies and also interviewed others in the past two years. However, this phone interview experience at LinkedIn is the WORST I have ever seen, and it seems like the interviewers do not have any interview experience.

First, I could not hear their voices clearly because of a heavy echo.

Second, they were very, very silent and did not say a SINGLE word when I was explaining my solution or when I was coding. I never knew whether I was on the right path or not. I confirmed with them multiple times if I understood the problem correctly, and they just said yes and then stayed silent again. But when I finished the code, they said it's not the answer they wanted. Are you kidding me?

Finally, they were so IRRESPONSIBLE and didn't have the right attitude to interview me. The day I interviewed was a Friday, the week before Thanksgiving, so they were clearly eager to finish this interview and ended it TWENTY minutes before the scheduled time. I could even hear their gruff and impatient sounds. Seriously, I was still on the line, OK?

All in all, after this interview, I have a totally different perspective on LinkedIn. I would not ever recommend anyone to interview at LinkedIn.
