I applied on the company website and received a call immediately. The role was for tools development for the management of LinkedIn Servers (NMS/EMS applications development).
The interview process took almost three weeks. I went through five rounds: four face-to-face interviews and one telephonic interview (from the US). I cleared all of them.
After clearing all rounds, they informed me that they would arrange one final interview with the US team. However, there has been no communication since then. The HR department has not replied to my emails nor answered my calls.
In short, these are totally unprofessional people who don't know how to communicate with candidates. At least have the courtesy to answer the phone. The HR team at LinkedIn India seems immature. They called me four times to their office on weekdays for face-to-face interviews and did not speak to me afterward. No coffee, tea, or water was even offered. They were very arrogant.
I suspect the reason for my rejection was that they hired another candidate from my company. It's quite cheap; they could have at least informed me or rejected me at the beginning.
