I chose not to start the interview gauntlet. Here's what I learned:

Interview Parts:

• One Hour Live Coding Technical

  • I was disappointed this was the only option. To be a leader, you need to accommodate a variety of personalities and types. A one-size-fits-all approach is not best. I'd like to see additional options, such as a timed take-home or submitting a previous project.

• 6-Hour Panel

  • This is incredibly long and difficult to carve out time for, especially if you're already in a role and not sure about switching.

Finally, the compensation was low due to geo-based compensation. Since the pandemic, we can work remotely from all over, so geo-based compensation is not competitive.
