Pros
  • Free breakfast, lunch, and a kitchen full of snacks, fruits, nuts, etc.
  • Yummy bagels and special breakfasts on Fridays.
  • Lots of fitness classes: Zumba, Yoga, Meditation.
  • Regular free massage sessions.
  • Ergonomics expert on board, with good infrastructure from an ergonomics point of view.
  • Good location: Mountain View, near Google.
  • Toastmasters club which is very active.
  • Onsite gym available.
  • Very good fitness website for employees.
  • MacBook Air for every new joiner, with a good VPN connection.
Cons
  • Too much work, so work-life balance is very bad.
  • Too much politics.
  • People in senior positions are not well-qualified.
  • No extra participation is allowed for contractors, but they have to work overtime without fair compensation.
  • There are no trainings, such as leadership, team building, or tools learning.
  • It was an automation position. Mostly coding questions were asked in the interview, but the work was 90% manual.
  • No team-building activities, no good team outings. If they happen, they are very badly organized. The overall atmosphere is very stressful.
  • When you have to work over the weekend, no one cares about your food or comfort. They just want you to work, work, and work.
Advice to Management

More training. Better treatment for contractors.
