Pros

Posh cafeteria and good food.

A lot of social events.

Great value on the resume.

Good pay (in the range of 60 to 70% of FANG compensation).

Cons

Low-caliber managers exist at all levels, except the very top.

Managers have more authority and power, which is being misused.

Engineers are forced to focus on pleasing managers instead of concentrating on technology and new products.

HR is always one-sided with managers.

Performance reviews are questionable and not really based on one's performance.

To get recognized, you need to be in the "close circle" of management.

Advice to Management

Pay more attention to EVS.

Managers are using performance review as a tool to retaliate.

Implement 360-degree feedback.

Technologies used in LinkedIn are outdated. Accept it and take action.

Old-timers are sinking the ship. Realize it.
