Senior Manager, Machine Learning Interview Experience
Process
The following were the steps in the interview process:
- Applied online
- Recruiter phone screen
- Hiring manager phone screen
- Take-home case study (tactical, programming, modeling, and strategic questions)
- Virtual onsite interview with five members of the data science team
Questions
I applied online. The recruiter reached out, and after an initial phone screen, I was scheduled for a call with the hiring manager.
I had a good call with both of them, and then was given a case study. This involved data munging, building an ML model, and then some strategic open-ended questions.
I returned the case study via Jupyter Notebook and was invited for a virtual onsite interview.
The onsite included:
- Two machine learning design/knowledge rounds
- One Python programming round
- Two management interviews
All interviewers were wonderful, and the process was very smooth. I was given an offer within a week and accepted.
