First round: HR call.
I recently applied for this role, noting the growth of the EV market. I was shortlisted and had this call.
Overall, it went well, but then I found out they wanted people to come in five days a week (strictly onsite), which I agreed to.
This role was within their infotainment team, and they wanted someone to work on Android Auto. I have been an Android developer for over 8 years, but Auto was new to me. Consequently, the recruiter started lowballing me when I asked about compensation. Overall, it was a bad experience because they wanted someone to relocate from WA to CA, offered a low salary, and were rigid about the onsite requirement.
It's hard to see someone with decent skills signing up for this company. It might be a good option if you are entry-level, but I wouldn't recommend it otherwise.
