The interview process consisted of a total of 9 rounds. These included a 1-hour presentation, Machine Learning questions, discussions about previous jobs, and coding questions. The coding questions were easy and not difficult at all, which I passed with ease.
In general, most of the interviewers were extremely disrespectful and arrogant beyond description. They also contradicted the recruiter, stating they had expected a 1-hour interview focused on the fine details of projects I completed with previous employers.
They asked for confidential information from previous employers in extreme detail, bombarding me for over 7 hours. Different interviewers repeatedly asked essentially the same questions. This is illegal, as I cannot disclose confidential information and intellectual property from previous employers. It seems they were primarily interested in extracting as much confidential information as possible from their competitors.
After speaking with them, I was not surprised to learn that their technology was years behind other competitors in the market, with many features unimplemented and a lack of clear direction. I am confident they will never be able to compete with Tesla and other competitive companies.
Shame on Lucid Motors. I am glad I dodged the bullet and will not have to work with those arrogant individuals daily. I am looking for smart coworkers who are also easy to talk to and pleasant to work with. If they do not change their attitude, they will surely have a hard time attracting good talent. Do not waste your time interviewing with this empty-suit company.
