Pros

Free snacks, some very bright engineers, and a nice office.

Cons

The vehicle launch keeps getting delayed. It was and still appears to be a mess at Lucid, and upper management knows it. However, they have a lot vested in time and high hopes of astronomical stock gains. That is their sole motivation, and they will convince younger engineers that they are "changing the world" to exploit them into working like machines for poor pay and benefits.

  • There is zero work/life balance at Lucid, and they will work you like a slave.
  • HR is for show only.
  • Engineering solutions are very rushed rather than well thought out, and if you take time to think, you will be treated like a pariah.
  • It is supposed to be launched any day, but critical areas where safety is a serious issue have been largely ignored.
  • Unfair distribution of stock benefits.
Advice to Management

Stop exploiting fresh graduates for the sake of your own ambition, or at least be honest with them. Let engineers have weekends off and stop treating them like dirt. Compensate people better who are doing all the real work. Out with the mirage of fake sophistication. Develop some principles, but that is not going to happen because a few want to enjoy off the backs of the rest at any cost.
