Software Engineer (Internship) Interview Experience - New York, New York
Process
Fill out the application (include essays).
Round 1: 2+ hours online assessment, including tech questions and coding challenges. Round 2: DSA coding challenge with a Software Engineer. Round 3 and final: Expertise coding challenge (FE, BE, etc.) with a Software Engineer.
I was excited at first when I saw the process was realistic. However, at the very end of the interview process, in my opinion, the challenge is just not realistic.
It's sad that people who do well during the online assessment and DSA assessment are then given these unrealistic challenges that no one would do in a real Software Engineer role in the first place, and that probably only people who have memorized them could resolve.
Questions
Only the last round was difficult. The first two rounds were easy to medium.
