I applied online. The process took 1 week.
I had a 30 min phone interview with the recruiter, and unfortunately it was a very negative experience.
The interview was mostly just going over my background and basic company culture questions. The recruiter would constantly interrupt and argue against my answers (they weren't bad answers) no matter how I answered them. Even when getting into more technical questions (recruiter was not at all from a technical background), he would argue and insist my answers were wrong. I remained respectful and avoided engaging in any sort of argument.
At the end I asked a few questions, including "how have you seen young engineers grow technically and professionally in this position?" And he responded by saying it wasn't that good of a question and that 'growth' is so broad and could mean anything.
I have interviewed at multiple aerospace companies, and never had such an experience as this one. I was honestly quite shocked after the interview as I have never been treated in such a way. Maybe the recruiter didn't mean to come across as rude, but this interaction left a strong negative impression, and ultimately I have no interest in pursuing opportunities with Mach Industries.
