Applications Support Engineer Interview Experience - Boston, Massachusetts

Process

  1. Five-question video interview with the same questions mentioned by most people on Glassdoor.

  2. Technical phone interview questions: The interviewer asked me questions related to embedded systems and OS. Most questions concerned scheduling, preemption, priority inversion, real-time OS, etc. I answered all of them well with examples. Then, the interviewer asked questions on C programming related to static variables, array bound checking, and pointers.

The unexpected part was related to math. The recruiter said there would be math-related questions on calculus, linear algebra, etc. However, the interviewer asked me questions on probability and arithmetic progression. I answered the probability questions but forgot the formulas for arithmetic progression. I remembered them after the interview, which was annoying.

Matlab questions were easy, covering plots, titles, and legends.
