Applications Support Engineer Interview Experience - Cambridge, Massachusetts

February 1, 2015
Positive ExperienceNo Offer

Process

Applied through a university career fair.

The first interviewer asked behavioral questions, such as:

  • Why MathWorks?
  • How do you manage time when you multitask?
  • Tell me an example of a work conflict and how you resolved it.

Keep your answers concise and include personal details.

The interviewer scheduled the next round for a technical interview immediately. Be sure of your availability beforehand; it helps.

In the technical round, the interviewer asked many programming questions. The focus was on the languages I mentioned in the first round. Speed and accuracy are important, I guess. The questions are manageable if you prepare and brush up on your basics.

Good luck!
