This is about a campus recruitment program at a Hyderabad (India) university. First, we had a screening test with questions from various topics, including networking, C, C++, and operating systems. I was then shortlisted for a technical interview the next day.
It was supposed to start at 9 a.m., but the HR personnel arrived at 10:30 a.m. and began interviewing each candidate for two hours. There were only two panels, and my turn came up at 6 p.m.!
The interviewer did not ask, "Tell me about yourself" (it was my first time not being asked that in an interview). The interview was quite straightforward, as the questions had direct answers. There were only three interviewers, and each had prepared two topics. They took turns asking me questions, which were the same questions my friends were asked. Even they weren't sure of the correct answers. Overall, they seemed to have fewer skills than many of the candidates.
It was a bad experience, and although I was selected, I did not accept the offer as I felt I would not have the chance to develop my career in such a place.
