MathWorks is actually quite friendly to graduates. They have regular open events where students attend.
I attended their open day event and then chatted with various people there. I handed my CV to a person and introduced myself. The next day, I received an email from them inviting me to an "informal chat" at their office.
In this informal chat, which I considered to be an interview, I was asked mainly about my background. I was also asked to give an example of debugging a complex program. I only managed to give an "obvious" debugging example.
