Pros: 1. Great work culture. 2. The colleagues are very friendly and approachable. 3. There is good work-life balance. 4. Managers are very supportive. 5. You get to work on projects that are aligned to your interests, and the projects are mostly quite challenging as well.

Cons: 1. The pay is not that good, considering that they recruit people from tier 1 institutes. 2. Most EDGers find the technical support part uninteresting and tiring. Personally, I don't feel that it'll help new recruits in the long term. There is not much skill that is learned through technical support. 3. You might not get a chance to join the team or your interests. It all depends on the requirements. Until you get transferred, you might not get to experience the actual development cycle. 4. You will have to spend some time on things that are hardly technical. You'll be judged based on that too.

Pros: Good workflow, systematic project structure.

Cons: Nothing specific. It was all virtual, so I can't say much.

Pros: MathWorks has some very interesting areas that they work on. The work environment outside of EDG is great. Work-life balance is respected. EDG could be a good way for non-CS majors to get a foot in the door in the tech industry.

Cons: In EDG, your career is put on pause while you essentially continue to search for jobs at the company. Technical support is a BIG part of EDG (often more than half the work!). Interviewers are generally not upfront about it. You spend two weeks on a project, then two weeks focused on technical support. This slows down progress and feels extremely inefficient. While MathWorks does not officially do mass layoffs, if they want to reduce headcount, EDG feels the squeeze.
