Process

This was the first round of the selection process for the job. It was an online interview with a preset, fixed number of questions and a requested video response.

It was a good experience with pretty standard questions and a nice website setup.

To begin, one had to sign in with their name, email, and a company-provided password. On the next screen, one could choose to enter a practice mode or start the interview immediately. Videos are not recorded in practice mode, allowing candidates to prepare for answering questions in the best possible way.

In the actual interview mode, the question is displayed, and one gets 60 seconds of preparation time to record a 3-minute answer in real time using the webcam and microphone. However, don't worry if your delivery isn't perfect the first time. You have unlimited trials and can submit whenever you finalize the recording. Then, you move on to the next question.

There were four standard questions. Because of the unlimited trials format, I believe adequate opportunity was given to formulate the best possible answer. Furthermore, this format ensures that a student interviewing early has no disadvantage compared to friends who might learn from their experience and prepare accordingly.
