The interview process, as usual, started with a 45-minute presentation, followed by five one-on-one rounds with a manager and other team members.

For the last round, there was not much time left. The second-to-last interviewer took 10 minutes more than assigned, and then there was also lunchtime, which was included in the last interview. Due to this, the interviewer had less time and did not evaluate me fairly.

Based on my performance, they were offering me a Release Engineering position, even though I was interviewing for a Senior Release Engineer position. They stated that I was on the edge and, based on the feedback, they could only offer me the Release Engineering position.

Even after agreeing with them, as I needed this job badly, I asked them to move ahead and give me the offer letter. They then took my references and conducted my background check for three weeks.

After all these checks were done, I asked for my offer letter, but they kept me waiting, saying it was pending for approval.

After following up for two weeks, they finally said they could not give me an offer letter because they received orders from top management that, due to COVID-19, they would fill positions internally and would not hire me.

NEVER EXPECTED SUCH A RESPONSE FROM SUCH A COMPANY THAT ALWAYS TALKS ABOUT ITS VALUES AND MORALS.
