This scene was totally f-ed up. I won't trust their process anymore.
They have a 45-minute presentation followed by 6-7 30-minute interviews. I was told they would be moving forward with my application, did a background check, and asked to contact my old references. I gave them all the details and completed my background check. I had a few doubts during the background check, emailed them, and everyone started ghosting me.
After two weeks, I received an email stating, 'We cannot promise you that we will move forward with you.' That was the entire email.
After another two weeks, they sent me an email saying they are hiring someone else. This all happened after they told me I had been selected.
Also, just so you know, the entire background check and reference contact were done before they gave me an offer letter.
The company has gone to hell. Don't apply.
