Process

The interview was scheduled by the hiring manager.

It started with the first round, a 30-minute phone interview. The interviewer was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable about any technology stack. He was primarily testing my problem-solving skills.

I never heard back from him after the interview. I tried emailing him more than 5 times, but I didn't get any reply.

Questions

JavaScript Basics:

  • Callback functions
  • Closures
  • Anonymous functions

Finding Duplicate Elements:

Told him about hash maps and he was interested in other possible solutions as well.

Drawing Shapes:

How do you write functions to draw lines, circles, and shapes? What data structures would you use, and how would you call them? I suggested using arrays and the command pattern.
