Process
Worst part of the interview process:
- Scheduled the second round after 15 days.
- Multiple reschedules of interview discussions after I mentioned that the interviewer was not available in the meeting to discuss (contacted via mobile & email).
First round with QA Lead: Focused on Linux, networking, and Python programming.
Second round after 15 days with 2 Sr. QA Engineers:
- Interviewer asked if I was interested in Perl. I said yes for the short term and Python is preferred for long-term automation. The interview discussion was completed, saying there was no point in further discussion.
Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
Questions
Questions mostly on Linux, networking, and programming:
- How HTTP & SMTP servers can be installed
- IP/24: What /24 means
- Parse IP/port from a log file using a preferred language and Linux commands

Very bad work environment because of manager

Pros: No pros, only mental stress I felt. When I joined, they won't give time to adjust and manager thinks we should know their product completely before joining, even after doing so much work. No one has knowledge about the product properly and they pressurise new joinees.
Cons: Manager is not at all knowledgeable and he simply says yes to what seniors say and does not have his own decisions, which is why managers should have strong knowledge in the product and no cultural activities. HR never shows interest in asking employees about their work-life balance; after I left, so many people left the same team, and at least then management should know about that team and manager.
