Applied through referral, multiple rounds.
First round was telephonic, followed by in-person interviews.
My interviewer gave me a laptop and asked me to code and run two problems:
The time allotted was 1.5 hours. I finished the task in 1 hour, executed the code, and was waiting for the interviewer, who returned after 2 hours.
The interviewer didn't expect me to finish, so they were surprised that I completed the task in less time.
Then, the same interviewer proceeded with the interview, asking some irrelevant questions and giving me cues that I did not possess the right skills and was not the right person for the role. I don't think the interviewer read my resume because they didn't expect me to clear the coding round.
Finally, the interview concluded with the usual "HR will get back" statement.
McAfee is struggling because of mediocre people who influence hiring decisions and try to secure their positions in the organization.
A waste of time.
