A friend of mine who works at Mercury made a referral. Their recruiter quickly contacted me through email to schedule a phone screening.
The screening went well; I had the chance to talk about my previous experiences and why I believe I would be a great fit for the company. Also, the recruiter took her time to explain the position, the team, and the company's values.
Although she said I would be a great fit for the team, I received an email one day later telling me my application was rejected.
