Pros: Very team-dependent. My manager was a great scientist and person, so I had great mentorship and a great work environment.
Very flexible in terms of how theoretical or applied, research or engineering-focused your work would be.
Cons: Some fresh hires from the Residency were laid off during the big purge in 2022.
Company priorities shifted, and now pure research has taken a bit of a backseat.

Cons: No return offer process. It was a bit disjointed as a cohort, and it's unlikely that the AI residency will be offered again by Meta.
