Got an email from a recruiter through LinkedIn and had a 20-minute telephonic screening regarding experience and career interests. Later, an interview was scheduled for three weeks later.
Gave all materials for Python and SQL.
Telephonic tech interview: 30+30 mins (mySQL + SQL).
SQL - 4/5 got output (HAVING, GROUP BY, LEFT OUTER JOIN, and subquery). Python - 1/5 (no output).
Python - count of strings.
I could have prepared better for Python. I'm assuming if I had gotten output for at least 2/3 in Python, they might have considered me.
Immediately after, two hours later, I got an email from HR stating they were not moving forward with me.
Advice: If you have 5+ years of experience in SQL, don't prepare it. At least 6 months to 1 year of Python experience is a must to solve basic questions in different ways.
