Engineering, Metaverse People Software Interview Experience - Irvine, California

March 1, 2022
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

The interview process spanned two days and was conducted entirely online.

The first day involved a Coderpad interview. The Software Engineer (SWE) interviewer struggled to answer my questions about the problem, contradicted themselves when new questions arose, and communicated ineffectively.

The second interview was a Zoom call for the "Team Match" portion. I spoke with the lead SWE on the project, who proved more competent than the other interviewer from the coding assessment, who was not part of the Metaverse team.

This session included a one-on-one discussion covering various programming data structures and other game development topics.
