Boomerang interview.
Had an initial tech screen (algorithms) and one behavioral. Talked to recruiters.

The company changed a ton during COVID
Senior Software Engineer • Current Employee
London, England, United Kingdom
December 14, 2022
Pros: Can work from home.
Good food at the office.
Cons: Most of the benefits are now suspended, except for the basic ones like medical and pension. We used to have great perks pre-COVID, but now it’s all gone. The Reality Labs org is crazily mismanaged. Projects get canceled all the time, and engineers struggle to find meaningful work, especially in London.

High pay, but very slow moving
Senior Software Engineer • Former Employee

Pros: Money, career progression, and prestige on resume are all good here. WLB is likely better than most non-Microsoft alternatives with similar pay and career progression.
Cons: Bureaucracy is wild. Simple projects take months and can be killed on a whim from any PM. WLB can suffer accordingly.
