Pros: Had some of my best engineering accomplishments at Meta. Get to work on products that have high impact. If you are someone who enjoys working in fast-paced environments, this is the place for you to be. There's lots of empathy in the employees and managers around in different orgs.

Cons: The review cycle is a nightmare and makes it into a very competitive and stressful environment. The whole layoff debacle really added a lot of stress to people and was handled poorly by leads.

Cons: - Constant negative press associated with the company. - Mandatory promotion to E5 with a “you’ll be fired after 36 months if you’re not on track to get promoted” policy. - Data-oriented to a fault, at times. Everything has to be proven to others; experience and believability weighting is lacking. - Tricky to achieve work-life balance since expectations are high and the pace is fast.
