Software Developer Interview Experience - Dubli, Ireland

Process

Awful. Six job interviews are required for a technical position. Many recruiters and HR personnel, who have absolutely no technical background, are involved. The interview process is so long and tedious that by the end, you no longer want the job. It's all a joke, especially when people who were not selected after the fourth interview are told they should be proud for reaching so far in the recruitment process. I am wondering how a potential employer would look at a CV that mentions Facebook as previous professional experience and states: "I did not really work for Facebook, but I was very close to getting the job, something I am very proud of."

Questions

A lot of questions about soft values, interesting to a point but not very relevant to the position. This makes you feel that your professional experience and competence are not really valued.
