HR contacted me via LinkedIn, and we arranged the first initial interview. It was about 30 minutes long. They told me about Facebook projects and asked a few questions about my experience. A week later, I had a phone coding interview, which included one LeetCode easy and one LeetCode medium problem. I received feedback in one week and an invitation for an on-site interview.
The on-site interview consisted of five interviews and a lunch interview. The first was a behavioral interview followed by a coding interview. Then came a design interview and three more coding interviews. The coding interviews were not too difficult, with two medium-level tasks for each interview, covering basic concepts. In the behavioral interview, I received many questions about my past experience and hypothetical situations, followed by a 15-minute easy coding question.
The design interview was the most challenging for me. I received a question, started to answer, and was then interrupted with more detailed questions about specific parts of my system, and so on. I didn't perform well in this interview, but I found it very useful because it highlighted gaps in my knowledge and areas for improvement.
I received the final feedback 10 days after the last interview. It wasn't just a yes/no, but also included some details (no offer; all coding interviews were good enough; behavior was good; design skills need improvement).
It was my first experience with an on-site interview at a large company, and I really liked the interview process. HR provided all necessary information: the next steps, when to expect feedback, etc.
A few tips I wish I had used before the interview:
I'm not sure I'm able to share it due to an NDA.
