Being an intern means getting spoiled
Software Engineer Intern • Former Employee
Menlo Park, California, United States
April 30, 2015
Pros: - spoiled by the perks (free food everywhere, arcade, game centers, lounges, micro kitchens)
- actually really good execs (they at least came off as genuine and mostly transparent)
- intern events (not really my thing, but it was nice that the effort was invested to host them)
Cons: - No transparency surrounding return offer decisions, no say in which team you will work on.
- The amount of effort intern managers put in varies greatly, so intern experiences vary greatly as well.
- People seem to be happy with a stable 9-5 job and don't seem to want much else in life.
