Pros: It is a developer-friendly ramp-up with minimal setup.
You can quickly get to contributing features to the codebase.
The growth as an SDE is good, and you get to learn how a product-based company makes decisions.
Cons: Any work you do is linked to the kind of help it will give in your feedback, which hampers innovation from most employees. Everyone wants to gain points for the review cycle and is not solving problems from the core.
