First, a phone interview includes a coding question on algorithms that you must complete during the interview.
Then, there are three on-site interviews with white board coding questions.

Pros: Engineers are expected to be very independent and proactive. You will grow a lot as an engineer, and you will work with very smart people.
Cons: It seems chaotic and unstructured. Your direct manager plays a big role in how you experience the company. As in any other company, there are good and bad managers, and Facebook has plenty of both. If you land with a bad manager, you are going to have a very bad experience.
