Software Engineer Interview Experience - Menlo Park, California
Process
I applied to the summer internship last year. However, I didn't hear anything until June.
They said they were going to interview me for a full-time position. Then I told them I wouldn't be graduating until this year's summer, so I postponed the interview to this year.
They got confused that I was applying to the summer internship this year. After a phone interview, they sent me an onsite interview invitation.
The onsite interview was postponed for almost an hour without notice. I was waiting there for nearly an hour, so things were really rushed.

Meta Work Experiences
- 5.0A fun ride, with lots of opportunities to soarSoftware Engineer • Current EmployeeMenlo Park, California, United StatesNovember 13, 2012Pros: The culture is very open and honest, and the heavy use of groups internally keeps everyone accountable to others. Company-wide Q&As also keep the management team transparent. The work you do is high impact, and products iterate quickly. Hackamonths actively encourage engineers to try a different team occasionally. There are lots of opportunities to continue learning, like training for iOS and Android development.Cons: Work/life balance can be tough, depending on the team. This is up to personal preference, though, and many teams (especially those in infrastructure) have more stable projects. Coasting doesn't work here; you always have to be actively improving and not rest on laurels.
