Software Engineer Interview Experience - Menlo Park, California
Process
A friend referred me. I received a phone call from a recruiter within two days. An interview was set up with the hiring manager of the team I interviewed for.
It was a standard data structures and algorithms screen, which I passed pretty easily.
I had two more phone calls and one onsite interview.
Overall, it was a pretty pleasant experience.
Questions
It was not that difficult, but I was asked to compute the number of ways to make change for $100, with the condition that an arbitrary coin from the set (5¢, 10¢, 25¢) had to be the smallest amount of change given.

The product is very engineer-driven. If you're interested in product work but love the task of actually building it, Facebook is a good fit. I was choosing between Product Management at Google and Engineering at Facebook, and I think I made the right call for me.Cons: Biggest con for me is that they are in Menlo Park, and I live in San Francisco. They run very efficient shuttles, but that's only second best to having a close office.
