I was contacted by a recruiter for an on-campus interview. The interview lasted about 45 minutes.
I had to solve one problem and answer some behavioral questions, such as:
- Favorite project
- Why Facebook
- Where I see myself
Overall, I felt I did not prepare enough. I solved the problem correctly, but it took me some time to make it optimal.

Pros: Experience working at Meta is highly dependent on what team or org you are in. Some orgs/teams have insanely complicated political games to play, while some others are more focused on getting interesting work done. It's hard to know which is which just by talking to team members.
Cons: You need to play complicated political games to not be a scapegoat for failed initiatives.
Not too much promotion these days.

Transparent But Buggy Infrastructure

Pros: "Openness", which means you can see and submit diffs on almost everyone's code, and you can see the direction and accomplishments of other teams.
Cons: "Move fast and break things" applies to internal tools and infrastructure. Things broke often enough that I remember it as an annoyance.
