Process
I met the recruiter at the career fair. We set up a phone call interview the following week. The recruiter was responsive and helpful.
The phone call interview was with a software engineer and lasted about an hour. She was not helpful at all. We immediately started coding at the start of the phone call. She gave me a question rated hard on LeetCode. It was a fair question, but the interviewer gave no help or input throughout my approach to the problem. She was silent, and I had to explain to her what BFS and DFS were. It seemed like she did not know the answer to her own algorithm question.
My advice to interviewers: Please do not ask coding questions if you do not know how to solve them yourself.
