Process

Cleared two telephone rounds. Both had two questions and were easily cleared if you had spent time on common interview questions related to binary trees, Roman numerals, the Island problem, and so on.

It took more than a month before the onsite interview was scheduled.

Onsite:

  • Two technical interviews (convert number to string representation, heap problem, remove unbalanced parentheses, etc.).
  • The behavioral interview was full of quick questions about your experiences. They did not allow you time to think between questions, which led to you expressing your true views as you did not have time to formulate a nicer answer.
  • The system design interview was to design Spotify. Buying the book 'Grokking the System Design Interview' was very handy in explaining the answers at a decent level.
