The interview process involved a phone call with a recruiter, a phone technical screen, and an on-site technical interview. Overall, it was a fast process, with recruiters responding and scheduling promptly. The company culture seemed very nice, and employees appeared happy.

The initial phone screen involved general tech conversation, covering technologies worked on, projects, and past work experience. The interviewer also discussed the work and culture at Sage Intacct. The interviewer was very sweet and polite.

On-Site Interview:

All questions were LeetCode HARD level variations, copied directly from LeetCode or HackerRank.

• One question was a tricky variation of the 'number of islands' problem from LeetCode.
• Another was a very hard DP problem similar to the 'coins' problem from LeetCode. I mentioned to the interviewer that although a DP solution was available, I was not comfortable with DP and was therefore attempting an iterative version. He reacted with confusion, asking 'why DP/what DP'.

After I presented the full solution on the board, the interviewer did not seem interested in discussing the approach or anything else. He simply wanted me to transcribe the code from the board onto the HackerRank coding screen and submit it. Consequently, in the last 12-14 minutes, I could not complete this question at all.

This was followed by a system design question about an online collaborative editing tool.
