Software Engineer Interview Experience - Seattle, Washington

September 1, 2017
Positive ExperienceNo Offer

Process

The process is very organized.

First, you'll be contacted by a recruiter. Then, a 45-minute phone screen will be scheduled.

During the phone screen, expect 1-2 questions. These are typically at an easy to medium LeetCode level, so be prepared. Understanding time and space complexity is a must.

I was then invited for an onsite interview, which included:

  • Two coding interviews.
  • Two design interviews.

The interviews were okay. They often ask questions similar to LeetCode, so be prepared. For system design, familiarize yourself with the Gainlo blog.

Although I didn't receive an offer, I enjoyed the process. Facebook was very accommodating and top-notch.

Questions

For your NDA, use LeetCode and Cracking the Coding Interview, and you will be fine.
